Reader Question: “Hi Wally, What is microsoft store error code 0x8E5E0407? I am not able to use microsoft store after reinstalling Windows. Any help is graciously welcome.” – Austin G., Australia

Before addressing any computer issue, I always recommend scanning and repairing any underlying problems affecting your PC health and performance:

  • Step 1 : Download PC Repair & Optimizer Tool (WinThruster for Win 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP and 2000 – Microsoft Gold Certified).
  • Step 2 : Click “Start Scan” to find Windows registry issues that could be causing PC problems.
  • Step 3 : Click “Repair All” to fix all issues.

Setting up weekly (or daily) automatic scans will help prevent system problems and keep your PC running fast and trouble-free.

Scan for Corrupt System Files to Fix The Problem

Corrupt system files can cause problems with the Windows app store as well. If this is the case, then we should be able to fix this problem using the DISM tool and the SFC command.

Just the SFC command might be sufficient, but using the DISM tool will be more though even thought it can take some time. Please read and follow the instructions contained in this article.
